How long does a lash lift last?
A lash lift usually lasts about 6 to 8 weeks. It fades gradually as your natural lashes shed and new, uncurled lashes grow in, not because the curl drops out.
Why it fades
Every lash grows, rests and sheds on its own cycle. A lash lift sets the lashes you have on the day of your appointment. Over the next weeks those lashes shed one by one and new straight lashes grow in, so the lift slowly looks less even. That’s when it’s time to rebook.
What makes it last longer
- Keep your lashes dry for the first 24 hours. No steam, sauna, swimming or hot yoga.
- Skip mascara and eye makeup for the first day.
- Use gentle, oil-free cleansers around your eyes to keep the tint from fading early.
- Try not to rub your eyes or sleep face down in the pillow.
The full list is in the aftercare guide.
What shortens it
Oil-based makeup removers, waterproof mascara, eyelash curlers and lots of rubbing can all make a lift and tint fade faster.
Questions
How often should I get a lash lift?
Most people rebook every 6 to 8 weeks, once enough new lashes have grown in that the curl looks uneven.
Does the tint last as long as the lift?
Tint usually fades a little sooner than the lift, over a few weeks. Oil-based cleansers around the eyes fade it faster.
Can I get a lash lift sooner than 6 weeks?
It is best to wait until most of the lifted lashes have grown out, so the same lashes are not processed again too soon.
